SHELTON SPAN

Mr. Shelton Span is a passionate music teacher who believes that music has the power to inspire, build confidence, and positively shape the lives of young people. With lifelong love for music and a heart for teaching, he is dedicated to helping students discover their talents, develop their skills, and experience the joy that comes from making music.

A graduate of Kentucky State University, Shelton has been immersed in music since childhood. He participated in band throughout elementary school, middle school, and high school, where he developed a strong foundation in. musicianship and performance.

Music is truly a part of Shelton's heritage. Coming from a deeply musical family, he was surrounded by rhythm, melody, and creativity from an early age. That upbringing helped shape his passion and reinforced his belief that music is a gift that connects people and enriches lives.

Today, Shelton remains an active performer. He currently plays with two different bonds and serves as a musician at his church every Sunday. His ongoing involvement in performance allows him to bring real-world experience, energy, and authenticity into the classroom.

Shelton loves seeing students grow not only as musicians, but also as confident and disciplined individuals. His goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where every child feels encouraged to explore their creativity and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

For Shelton music is not just something he does, it is who he is. Sharing that passion with the next generation is one of his greatest joys.
